Daily Design: Day 114

Daily Design is a series of game concepts devised daily through all of 2016. These are just basic concepts, designed based on three randomly generated words. Today, they are;

Blood, Supreme and Permission.

As such, the game I’ve designed today is…

Necks Victim

Necks Victim is a multiple choice conversation game about a vampire who’s, like, really hungry, you guys. He’s turned up at a house, and is trying to get permission to enter so he can eat everybody inside, as one does.

Players take the role of the person inside the house, and have to talk to the vampire without ever giving him express permission to come inside, because vampires are apparently too polite to kill you otherwise.

The game has several endings depending on the flow of conversation, and many lines of dialogue will accidentally invite the vampire inside, so carefully reading each sentence is paramount to survival.

It’s a simple, small game, but one that could be interesting if it was written well. Unintended consequences for particular dialogue choices would be entertaining if those consequences were obvious in hindsight.

That’s it! Short one today, because I’ve got the flu and want to spend the bulk of my day complaining about it in bed. Thanks for reading! I’ll be back tomorrow with another quick game concept.
