Daily Design: Day 312
Daily Design is a series of game concepts devised daily through all of 2016. These are just basic concepts, designed based on randomly generated words. Today, they are;
Bubble, Funeral and Concentrate.
As such, the game I’ve designed today is…
Bubble Trouble is a game about trying to deliver a heartfelt eulogy while thousands of annoying bubbles are popping in your face.
It’s a typing game – players type out the eulogy that appears on-screen. There are also bubbles floating at the player with their own words inside them, and they can be popped by typing the appropriate word. In other words, if a bubble has “Potato” written in it, typing “Potato” will pop it.
Unpopped bubbles will pop in the player’s face, which will delete a number of letters that the player has written for the eulogy (more letters than the word had).
That’s it! Thanks for reading. I’m still out-of-state and will be for quite a while because bushfires have blocked the highway, which is the most Australian problem I could have outside of another Emu War. I’ll be back tomorrow with another quick game concept.
