Daily Design: Day 279
Daily Design is a series of game concepts devised daily through all of 2016. These are just basic concepts, designed based on randomly generated words. Today, they are;
Accuracy, Blade and Brave.
As such, the game I’ve designed today is…
In Knifely Done, players take turns throwing knives at somebody strapped to a spinning wheel until somebody hits them, who is then declared the loser. This continues until only one player remains. Yup! That’s basically it.
Players take turns to throw, with the first player being determined randomly. They can control a cursor that randomly wiggles slightly in all directions, meaning that the player can’t know exactly where the knife will land when they press the throw button.
After each successful throw, a difficulty modifier will be introduced. These range from basic things like the wheel starting to spin and move about to more complicated things, like having to throw two knives at once.
As stated before, whenever somebody hits a player, they’re out of the game. The winner is declared when only one player has never hit the poor person that’s tied up.
That’s it! Thanks for reading. I’ll be back tomorrow with another quick game concept.
