Daily Design: Day 165
Daily Design is a series of game concepts devised daily through all of 2016. These are just basic concepts, designed based on randomly generated words. Today, they are;
Gathering, Burning and Score.
As such, the game I’ve designed today is…
Pyro Techniques is a multiplayer game about competitive fire building.
Playing in first-person, two teams of three will run around a forest to try and gather what they can to throw on a fire and build it as high as possible before time runs out. The idea is to explore and find anything that will burn, then throw it into the bonfire to both keep it lit and increase it’s height. Once time runs out, the team with the highest bonfire will be declared the winners.
Players can also opt to sabotage their opponent’s bonfire by throwing things that don’t burn onto it, which will start to suffocate or block their fire. The goal is to balance ofense and defence, so to speak, as both teams run about trying to build their own fires and stop the other.
That’s it! Another shortie, but it’s only another couple of days before it normalises. Thanks for reading! I’ll be back tomorrow with another quick game concept.
