Daily Design: Day 159

Daily Design is a series of game concepts devised daily through all of 2016. These are just basic concepts, designed based on three randomly generated words. Today, they are;

Interference, Juice and Range.

As such, the game I’ve designed today is…

Last Stand

Last Stand is a real-time multiplayer strategy game about running a juice stand while sabotaging the competition.

The stand itself can be upgraded in a myriad of ways, from upgrading the quality of the juice to the cups to the atmosphere, all of which improve sales or add defenses.

The price of the juice players are selling can be adjusted freely, with some prices providing higher or lower sales – finding a sweet spot is key.

Finally, sabotage can be handled by spending money on, uh, saboteurs. These can be used to increase the price of opponent’s juice, make their stand uglier and more. Cheap saboteurs are more likely to fail.

The winner is declared when one player has a certain amount of money, decided before the match. Alternatively the player who’s earned the most when time expires will be declared the winner.
