Daily Design: Day 19
Daily Design is a series of game concepts devised daily through all of 2016. These are just basic concepts, designed based on three randomly generated words. Today, they are;
Bananas, Plaything and Playground.
As such, the game I’ve designed today is…
Gone Bananas is a physics based puzzle game in which the player must move a banana from point A to point B.
The banana is hanging from an elevated position at the beginning of each game, and it can be detached and dropped at any point. From here, it’ll simply fall and collide with geometry. It’s the player’s job to get it into the mouth of a monkey, also situated somewhere in the stage.
Players can’t add physics objects to the stage, but they can drag existing ones around, and move the banana bunch left and right before dropping one.
It’s a very simple game in the vein of Cut the Rope, but better for the addition of bananas.
That’s it! I lied yesterday, and this is the real last day of short posts because I’ve got a lot of travelling ahead of me, but they’ll be back to normal tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
